Carol & Company Chicago was started by me, the owner, Ruth Grigson after I took an interest in my Mother in-law’s gift business. The original Carol & Company began in a 300 square foot store in Fredericksburg, VA in 2002. Since then, the original owner, Carol Grigson, relocated to Waco, TX and ran the shop there until 2009. Carol has since retired, and I now run the online business.
Carol and Company does not currently have a retail location. However, if you are a local customer, and would like to pick up your order instead of having it shipped. This is an option...just call us to make arrangements.
We have worked hard to provide an easy to use, seamless, new website that will be an enjoyable shopping experience. We’re always on the lookout for new and noteworthy products that will draw “Oohs” and “Ahhs” from a friend who receives the perfect gift. Each item we carry is handpicked by me because of its uniqueness and exceptional quality. Shipping on Home Decor/Baby items:The cost of shipping these items is generally more because of weight. Additional charges may apply and vary depending on how heavy an item is.
Shipping on Monogrammed items:For all monogrammed items, the order will ship directly from the engraver or artist. Generally, shipping will be a few dollars more depending on the item ordered. Fedex or rush shipping is not available on these items unless you call us. We may be able to make special arrangements if you contact us directly.
International Orders:
At this time, we are able to process orders for the US or Canada online. For all other countries, we cannot process them via the website.
However, if you email or call us, we are willing to ship outside the US.

Delivery Time:
We attempt to ship all orders within 2 business days. If an item is
backordered, you will be contacted. If you are ordering a piece of monogrammed jewelry, it will
typically ship in 3-5 business days (with the only exception being during
the holidays). For any of the personalized gift items from Clairebella, the ship time is approximately 2-4weeks. Please call us if you need an item shipped
quicker than this. We will try to accommodate all rush orders.
Returns & Exchanges:
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, we are
happy to exchange or refund it. Please note: personalized items are not
returnable unless there is a mistake in the engraving or embroidery.
Please return items within 30 days of receipt in new and unused
condition with the manufacture tag attached. Shipping costs will not be
refunded.
Our goal is to make sure you are completely satisfied with your purchase.
Sales Tax:
Sales tax will be charged at 9.5% if order is being shipped within Illinois. Otherwise, there is no sales tax charged.
